Have you ever wanted to meet Pretty Little Liars star Tyler Blackburn (Caleb Rivers)? What about Demi Lovato, Joe Jonas, Meaghan Martin, or Allyson Felix?
Well, you’re in luck, because Tyler and those other awesome celebs are taking part in the 2012 Acuvue 1-Day Contest. Basically, teens and young adults can enter the contest by submitting a short video (via YouTube) about what they want to do in life, and each celeb will pick one person to mentor for a day, helping them live their dream.
Wetpaint Entertainment had a chance to chat with Tyler about the contest, as well as — of course! — Pretty Little Liars. Check out our interview to learn more about how to make your dreams come true, Tyler’s thoughts on PLL ships, and what we can expect from Caleb in Season 3.
Wetpaint Entertainment: Tell us more about Acuvue 1-Day Contest
Tyler Blackburn: It’s a platform for teenagers or young adults to submit videos about what they want to do one day, what their dreams are, and one person is chosen for each [celebrity] mentor. We are going to help them sort of realize their dreams, and get a taste of what it would be like to live out what they want to do. So that’s pretty awesome. How did you get involved, and what inspired you to take part in the campaign?
The format is really what I enjoy about the campaign, so that’s really what drew me to it. I think they were looking for some new people to do the campaign and they approached me and I was pretty stoked. It’s been a great experience so far and the best is yet to come. What can people do to stand out in their video submissions?
As cliche as it sounds just be yourself. Be very genuine to who you are. For me, personally, I can pretty easily see through people who are being fake. Just be yourself. Be genuine and real. Honesty is key.So, you’re a regular now on Pretty Little Liars. Congrats! How will that affect Caleb — will he start to expand his role beyond just being Hanna‘s [Ashley Benson] boyfriend?
I don’t know too many details. They don’t tell us a whole lot. But I do think [Caleb] has the potential to expand in any way. Whether it’s good or bad I don’t know. I’m excited to see.
Do you think he’ll get clued in to the whole complicated “A” story?
I don’t know. I think so. In the beginning of Season 3 he just knows Mona [Janel Parrish] kind of went crazy and was kind of torturing the girls, and therefore he’s really protective and has a strong distaste for Mona. Even stronger than he had previously. As of now that’s what he knows, but I feel like there’s room for him to find out a lot more, yeah. Will we see any scenes between Caleb and Mona now that he knows he was right to distrust her? That would be very interesting, especially given their creepy kiss situation.
I know! I don’t know. That would be really cool. That would be awesome. I don’t know for sure, though. At this point, Caleb seems like one of the most trustworthy people in Rosewood. Do you want him to stay that way, or do you hope he gets drawn into the main plot more?
I want him to get more drawn in. Definitely more drawn in.Have you heard any of the fan reaction to Season 2 finale?
I read some on Twitter. I know that some people were just a little bit like, “I knew it, it was like the books,” stuff like that. I doubt that [the writers] are going to keep it just like the books. With something as big as “A” day, there are going to be mixed reactions. I think that people need to stay tuned, because they’re not going to be disappointed. One thing people are really curious about is who the Black Swan is. So you have any guesses about who she is — or do you know?
Well…[laughs] I do know. I’m not going to give a whole lot away on that. The fact that you know is interesting!
Yeah.Other than Haleb, what is your favorite non-Haleb PLL ship?
I guess Aria [Lucy Hale] and Ezra [Ian Harding]. They’re pretty steamy and it’s forbidden love. That’s cool.Is there anything else you want to tell people?
Just that everyone should just submit something to the Acuvue 1-Day Contest YouTube page because you never know what’s going to spark someone’s interests. I would just go to the Youtube channel and submit a video.
We know who “A” is, but Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) is still something of a mystery on Pretty Little Liars. We’re hoping to learn more about Rosewood’s former Queen Bee on Season 3, and based on the spoilers for the season, we might get our wish.
We’ve rounded up the juiciest Alison related spoilers about Season 3 right here.

A crazy, twisty path: Sasha Pieterse says that “there’s something the fans don’t know about a certain situation that ties back to Alison,” and that we’ll learn more of the pieces of the puzzle. “The way it all ties together is kind of crazy.”
Alison in the premiere: Showrunner Marlene King tweeted that she was excited for Sasha to see the script for Season 3, Episode 1: “It Happened ‘That Night.’” She later tweeted this clue: “301 spoiler: Roses are red. Violets are blue. Mona sees Ali. Do you?” It sounds like Ali will definitely be in the premiere, though perhaps only in Mona’s head. We’re certainly looking forward to learning more about their relationship.
Maya’s death was supposed to parallel Ali’s: Marlene King confirmed that the similarities between Emily (Shay Mitchell) finding out about Maya’s (Bianca Lawson) death and Ali’s were intentional. But why?
Catch an all-new Pretty Little Liars when Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, June 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
Ever since we started to suspect thatMelissa Hastings(Torrey DeVitto)might be the Black Swan on Pretty Little Liars, it occurred to us that Jenna(Tammin Sursok) might be working with Melissa. After all, Jenna and Lucas(Brendan Robinson) were the only ones seen speaking to the Black Swan at the masquerade ball in the Season 2 finale. So what else could these two be up to? And what other signs have there been that Jenna and Melissa are a team?
They both hated Alison. Jenna started to dislike Alison (Sasha Pieterse) pretty much from the get-go, after Ali tried to pull a power play on her during a Halloween Party (Season 2, Episode 13: ”The First Secret”). Jenna was finally pushed towards hatred after Ali’s “prank” blinded her. And Melissa’s reasons for hating Ali were more passionate. Her fiance Ian (Ryan Merriman) was secretly hanging out with Ali, and Ali would constantly flirt with Ian in front of Melissa.
Connections to the NAT club. Both girls were seen on that spellbinding tape Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) found on “A”’s computer (Season 2, Episode 21: “Breaking the Code”). Jenna was dating Garrett(Yani Gellman) at the time, which would explain why she was there, and Melissa was still with Ian. If that whole group made a habit of hanging out, and conspiring to hide whatever films they were making, then Melissa and Jenna could definitely be on the same side.
Garrett Reynolds. Jenna’s relationship with Garrett was always creepy, especially after we saw them giddy over hiding Page 5 from Ali’s autopsy report in Season 2, Episode 12: “Over My Dead Body”. We learned inSeason 2, Episode 24: “If These Dolls Could Talk” that, ever since Jenna broke up with Garrett, he’d been dating Melissa, and even going with her on her OB/GYN appointments. One theory could be that Melissa and Jenna were both in on the decision to hide him away in jail. Maybe eliminating him brings them one step closer to hiding their guilt.
In general, we would buy a theory that said Melissa and Jenna are both directly related to Ali’s murder. They were together that night, looking for Alison, and trying to destroy evidence. Getting rid of Garrett also gets rid of one more potential witness to their crime.
Do you think these two have been working together for a while now? Or are all of these things coincidences?
