Pretty Little Liars isn’t afraid to go dark — really dark. The show started off with a murder, and the writers haven’t shied away from raining more death and destruction on Rosewood every season.

Recently TV Guide caught up with Ashley Benson (Hanna), and the star spilled about the thrilling Season 3 summer finale (Season 3, Episode 12: “The Lady Killer”). Are we in for another tragic demise?

“Oh. My. God. Those are the only words I have for this episode,” Ashley gushed, before adding “people get hurt…there might even be a death. It’s the most intense episode we’ve shot so far.”

Given that past finals have involved hit and runs, murders, and Mona (Janel Parrish) completely snapping, it’s hard to imagine how this finale could be even more intense without a death.

TV Guide also teases that Paige (Lindsey Shaw) will be in trouble with the cops, and Marlene King reiterates that we will find out the identity of Maya’s (Bianca Lawson) killer, reassuring fans that the episode will provide some “justice” for her untimely death. Maybe we’ll find out her killer, and then they’ll die, providing some closure? That’s a possibility.
